Stop No. 4 NESS points in the books

Girl power was in full force at stop No. 4 of the Northeast Slalom Series as female skiers topped the adult and junior rankings at the Russ Cole Massachusetts State Championships, July 21st, at Oakham, Mass.

Shannah Pochini scored 720 NOPS points to earn the win on the adult side, while Laura Taken tallied 525 NOPS points to win the junior event.

In the adult season standings (see full standings here), Shannah used the win to catapult herself into first place, jumping ahead of J.J. Paulovich who had led the entire season up to this point.

In the junior season standings, Brendan O’Brien is now joined in the top spot by Laura, followed closely behind by new entrants Victor Moisan and Samantha Hill.

Next stop: the Eastern Regionals and a TON of NESS points.
